Ballet has always been a taboo or me growing up because I knew how rigorous the talent can be. I also understood it took a lot of time an effort to do the task with such precision.
I love to see how far the human body can push itself and I also love human behavior so this film peaked my interest.
An aesthetic film I would recommend. This comely film Portman played a talented and tormented ballerina, whose searing descent into madness is induced because the stressful demands set upon her from her role. Out of her madness, reflects incredible dancing on stage.

All the female main roles are broken and throughout the picture display contriving behavior, in some form. I think the actors actually had to prep to play such a distorted person to, which they all played beautifully.
The Black Swan is an alluring film from the lovely costumes, the edgy plot, and lastly the thoughtfully picked actors.
